Finally!

I finally bought a USB cable from Hong Kong to upload my pictures from my camera phone. It has been a year since I've been able to get my pics off that thing. I have big plans to go through the pics as I have time and update the blog with the last year!
This is the girls over spring break. They are growing up so fast! Every mom says it but it's true, KIDS GROW TOO FAST!

Busy life
So I haven't written anything in many months! Why? I have a dumb camera and that is my excuse. I like to put the pictures up that pertain to what I write and I don't have a USB cord for my cell camera. So I've decided I want to still have my blog new pics or not. So what has happened since I last wrote. Well a lot and I think I will go back to everything when I do have access to those pics. As for now I'll start yesterday... I got chickens. We want to start having fresh inexpensive eggs so we got 5 chickens. We named them Sandy, Mandy, Randy, Wanda, and chicken. We had help of coarse from our two little girls. Who, by the way, love them! I will start updating again regularly so this is all for now.

Art Class
I got to paint a shoe and it was so fun! That's what I want my 1st graders to say when they go home on Friday. Or "we have the best art teacher". That would be good too! I am doing a lesson on Theodore Dragonieri. He is an artist who paints shoes to resemble other fine artists work. My class is actually doing this project for an up coming art auction. Once the shoes are painted I will lay them out to spell the word "ART". Then put it on a poster where it will say "take a walk in ART shoes" It will then be matted and framed. I hope this turns out good. So I painted a shoe today to make sure it would adhere and we wouldn't have a cracking mess. Yeah! It was good. I will hopefully post tons of pictures once this is done. I have to buy a cable for my camera to upload all my fun pictures this year. Hopefully soon...

Valentines Day
I'm sure everyone is dying to know what I did for the sweetheart day of the year! Not really. Well this year, like everyone, I am trying to pinch my pennies! Andy and I went to a Cascade Regional Blood Center dinner because Andy donates so much. It was my idea to go to the corny dinner (hey, it was free!) For my birthday the day before Andy gave me a ring that he bought last year (Amethyst and diamond). Bethany spoiled it last year and Andy insisted he hadn't bought any ring. He saved it for a whole year! I got him and I a pair of rollerblades. I had a date in my head when I bought them for 8 bucks a pair. Yeah me. I found the sale and Andy said he wanted a pair a couple years ago so it was perfect. Not too romantic...

FHE
...or family home evening as normal people would say. Us Mormons have to say too much already so we abbreviate things...
Friend-"What church do you go to?"
Us- "The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints"
But as Hannah and Bethany nicely put it- "the church of God"
At least they have the important part down! I am so grateful for such a loving Heavenly Father. I love to be able to share stories and my testimony with my kids. I know they too will always love God. The girls just love the stories and tonight Bethany recapped one of the stories I told. I was frankly amazed she actually took in the whole story. She even prayed that she too would be able to recognize the Holy Ghost (holy spirit to some). I was so touched that she loves our Heavenly Father at such a young age. I know that I am doing my job as a mother to teach her how to recognize good and bad and when she needs to ask for help, through prayer, from God. I testify to you that if you too would have one special night each week to set aside to teach your family morals, values and righteous things that you will receive blessings from our Heavenly Father. He loves each one of us and if we strive to live righteously we will be able to return to him after this mortal life. (This is not perfection, it is STRIVING for perfection.) I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
