Church

I had a really great day at church today. First in sacrament meeting there was a brand new member of my church who gave a talk. It was such a good testimony of Jesus Christ and how he will help us through prayer. I was really moved by his talk. Then there was a special musical trio who got up and sang "How great thou art." We all know that song but to have 3 teenage boys sing from their hearts and sound good was awesome. I had goose bumps! I also had the opportunity to teach in Primary class (6-7 yr olds). I only had 2 children in my class and I was able to sit and bond with them and talk about something that may change their lives, making good choices and repentance. Because they are young we don't go deep but they learned the story of the prodigal son and understood the meaning. I was able to come home and nap and spend the rest of the day with my family. This was such a wonderful basic day and I couldn't pass up writing about it. I want to remember this day forever.

We won tickets!

Yes. We won the tickets from the Zoo entry. So we took Cody and my mom too. Above in the pictures we have waiting before the show, during the show, and the cutest pic of the kids' hineys. I wasn't really supposed to take pictures during the show and they let me know so this is about the best one. It was so much fun. The kids were dancing and participating just how they were asked. It was great! Oh and see the t shirts cody and hannah have we won too. WE also got a cd from the show free and I think that was thrown in to annoy us. I don't know if I can do it in the car ever again. I prefer our rudolf over it but it was nice to win. Thanks to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium here in Tacoma, WA.
Go summer fun Go!

4th of July

On the 4th of July we went to a pancake breakfast at church and watched a flag ceremony done by the color guard. Then we ventured off to Eatonville. It's about an hour away and Andy's mom and dad have a cabin up there. It is way up on a hill overlooking the town. I think we played Rock Band the video game most of the time. My good pictures are all taken sideways and so because I'm not so good with the photo software you get these dark ones. But little Hannah is still cute! As you can see by the squirrel too, wildlife just come right onto the porch. It is fun to watch. My kids kept coming to get me to show me what kind of bird, chipmunk, squirrel or giant moth was on the porch. The moth we saw was bigger than my fist no joke. His body was as thick as my finger. Crazy. God's creations are beautiful! The fireworks from the towns people in Eatonville, Graham and Puyallup could be seen so we know we don't need to buy a thing next year. I didn't this year but everyone insists that's what makes a great 4th. We had a ton of fun and Andy was able to go rock climbing on Saturday and swimming and hiking. There is even a swing called the death swing that most people went on (not me). Hannah and Bethany couldn't get enough of it. I had to go inside because my anxiety was so high with my angels on that thing. It is a swing on a hill and so when you swing out you are way way way above anything. They actually tied the little ones to it with some homemade harnessing system so they can't fall! Yikes. Church on Sunday was very wonderful as usual and we got to meet some great new people in the Eatonville ward. Great weekend overall!

Monkeying around!

We went to the zoo on June 30th with our friend Melissa who's in the picture. We always have fun at the zoo. We entered a contest at the zoo to win some Go Diego Go tickets...

Jenks Park

summer this far... well it's gone quite well. This is the girls at Jenks Park. It's a lakeside beach a few blocks from my house. They have fun at the park and then swimming and getting completely sandy! We spent the whole last week in June here because of the heat. That's a great start to our summer fun! They always beg to go to Jenks.
